Due to her mental illness, Gretal was anxious about returning to work. Shed A Light funding allowed Scripps to enroll her in the A-Visions program where she learned important job skills. The funding also covered her yearly wages as an employee of Scripps where she restocks all the supplies for the patient rooms in the Labor and Delivery department. Her work has been very helpful to the department and a source of self-esteem for Gretal. She is very proud to be making a difference and has offered to do even more tasks to help out.
Since starting to work at Scripps, Gretal has increased her work hours and feels like she has mastered many aspects of her job. Her managers are very pleased with her work and work-ethic and have asked that her time be extended in their department, enhancing her self-esteem as well.
