“I’ve been through a few programs, institutions, prisons, counselors, pretty much anything dealing with mental illness. I have never felt as positive as I do today about a means to an end of the chaos, torment, misery. For the first time in my life I have a bit of genuine hope. I see the light. This is the result of this place – which isn’t the four walls, but rather the continued positive energy which all of you bring. Each unique spirit brings his or her own positive energy, creating a whole. This place would not be the same if it lost any of you. I thought that I’d lost hope forever. You all have brought her back to me. Thank you. I know that it’s only up to me to brighten her. It takes a spark to light a fire and you all are the spark.”
