Shed A Light will host Dr. Jerry Gold for a private reception on Wednesday, April 6th. The event will feature a special presentation by Dr. Jerry Gold, Administrator of Scripps Behavioral Health. Dr. Gold was named San Diego’s 2012 Mental Health Person of the Year by the County Mental Health Recognition Team. This award recognizes those who have made a dramatic impact on mental health within the San Diego community.
As Administrator of the behavioral health clinical care line for Scripps Health, Dr. Gold oversees behavioral health throughout the Scripps system. The A-Visions program, which is the main project Shed A Light is supporting, has been highly successful in helping people with severe mental illness gain vocational training and, subsequently, employment.
